Le Papillon has been a favourite go to for over 10 years. My first visit was when my husband had a conference at the King Edward hotel. We both decided to get a quick bite so we sneaked out from the "Suits" and found Le Papillon. With high ceilings and exposed brick, this restaurant is the epitome of warm and inviting.
Le Papillion offers French and Quebecois food with two locations in Toronto; La Papillion Restaurant at 69 Front Street East and Le Papillion on the Park at 1001 Eastern Avenue. Their traditional French fare such as French Onion Soup and many variety of crepes are ever savoury. They also have an amazing poutine, a classic Quebecois favourite, and a delectable Reuben sandwich, hand-carved montreal smoked meat complete with gruyere. Food and service is always great, so we are back time and time again.
Would I return? Of course! I have been taking my friends and family here for the past 10 years and continue to recommend it. There's a reason it has been voted one of the best French restaurants in Toronto, because in my mind, it is.
